We had a care-plan meeting with Karen and Amanda from Parkview Hospice. Karen stated that she has seen a significant decline in Vonna's health since Monday. At the time of the phone call (1PM), Vonna was not awake or alert enough to take medications. Karen stated that she is comfortable, and they continue to care for her bodily needs, along with the staff of Kingston. They are turning her every two hours. Karen will have another hospice nurse check in tomorrow, Thursday, and then again on Friday. It seems that they are escalating to every-day check-ins now. Karen stated that although Vonna is unresponsive, that she knows that you and there, and simply sitting with her silently and praying is enough. Thank you all again for visiting as you have, and for limiting the phone calls to the Kingston nurses - they acknowledged that status requests via phone have decrease markedly. Thanks for this. Karen emphasized that in her experience that this needs to be a peaceful time and environment around Vonna. Thank you again for making this possible and for your gentleness, love, prayers, and understanding.

I love you David. I am so comforted to know that so many people love your mom. I hope you feel supported by all in this process and they visit and love Vonna.
